Last night in Gotham Girls Roller Derby action, the Bronx Gridlock stuck it to the Brooklyn Bombshells, 87-69. The Bombshells faced a 5-point halftime deficit and were trailing the Gridlock for much of the match. Unlike June's match against the Queens of Pain, the Bombshells could not mount a comeback this game. The Gridlock, the newest team to join the league, seemed to use their speed to their advantage during the match, skating around what seemed like a larger Brooklyn team.
We left with the sounds of floor burns still ringing in our ears. Fun times.
