Good news for lovers of everything fried, steamed, pinched, and wrapped in glorious dough: the LES will soon welcome back one of our city's most delicious and entertaining festivals. Get ready to hit the gym because there will be DUMPLINGS! Saturday, September 24th, 12pm - 5pm, come join the rest of the city's attempt at a self-inflicted food coma.

This year's theme is, "There's a Chef in Everyone." So, in addition to the classic dumpling insanity, there will be some new things to see as well: a dumpling making class, NYC-borough themed booths with vegan and vegetarian options, and major raffle prizes like Delta Airlines tickets and A YEAR'S SUPPLY of Chef One Dumplings. That's a lot of dumplings! The kids can enjoy entertainment like the Dumpling Mama mascot, a child-friendly activity tent, Lion Dancing and a performance by "Yut and the Hot Four." So open wide for dumplings and classical music meets rock.

And let's not forget the 13th annual action-packed-mind-boggling dumpling eating competition. Watch as competitors chow down on dumplings to beat the record of 93 pieces in 2 minutes! (Oof.)

Of course, as always, 100% of proceeds go to the Food Bank for NYC to fight hunger. $20 will get you a tasting ticket, but entry and entertainment are FREE. So make your way to Sara D. Roosevelt Park on September 24th, and give your belly a nice, warm dumpling hug.

Hungry? Duh. Get your dumpling details at the event website here, and follow #dumplingfest2016 for more deliciousness!
