Williamsburg's second Starbucks won't just be a place where tourists can sip pricey lattes and answer the call of nature. Starting Wednesday, it'll also be the neighborhood's newest spot to "enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious little something," according to the company, which is launching a new alcohol and small plates menu at their North 7th Street outpost. Because finding a bar in the area is often so difficult.

The "Starbucks Evenings" program will expand on the chain's food options with cheese and salumi plates, flatbreads, spinach dip and truffle mac & cheese options, paired with a wine and beer menu. Staying true to the neighborhood, the Williamsburg store will offer four Brooklyn Brewery options, according to DNAInfo, plus 10 different types of wine including an Italian prosecco. They'll still vend their drinks from the counter, but Consumerist notes they'll be using stemless glasses to avoid spills.

The chain irritated the local community board with their boozed up plans last year, eventually failing to win local support for their bid to serve alcohol. But the SLA ultimately approved the license, making the Williamsburg store the second Starbucks in the city to offer alcohol (the other one is located at Macy's.)
