The arrival of Grand Banks, a new exhibition space/bar inside a 142-foot long schooner, is imminent! Next Thursday, July 3rd the space officially opens to the public on the Sherman Zwicker, which will be docked at Hudson River Park's Pier 25. On board you'll find exhibitions of the ship's history as well as maritime history about NYC and beyond plus the occasional speaker on various maritime topics. But they're also running an oyster bar, with a rotating selection of seasonal eats and drinks.

First and foremost, the oysters, which food and beverage curator Mark Firth (Diner, Marlow and Sons) is sourcing from New York (Blue Island, Peconic Bay, Blue Point, etc) and beyond plus "accoutrements" like mignoette, cocktail sauce, Tabasco and buttered rye bread. Additional dishes like diver scallop crudo, a Maine-style lobster roll with paprika mayo and grilled peaches with aged balsamic are also available.

And there will be drinks! Cocktails inclue a riff on Pimm's Cup with fresh berries, a Champagne Cobbler with berries and citrus and the Bamboo, made with dry sherry, blanc vermouth and orange bitters. Beer and wine minded folks aren't forgotten, with a big selection of vintages and brews like a L'Ostal Cazes rose and Six Point Apollo on tap. See the full food and beverage menu below and start imagining evenings out on the water.

Grand Banks will be docked at Hudson River Park's Pier 25; the boat will be open 3 - 11 p.m. on weekdays, 12 - 11 p.m. on weekends
