Sure, underage drinking and ridiculous foam parties may be par for the course at Webster Hall, but that doesn't mean they can't also host more sophisticated soirees. To that end, the downtown club is bringing back a taste of the "not-so-temperate 1920's" with its first annual Beer and Whiskey Festival, called East Ville Des Folies.

The event will take place on Monday, November 5th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Among other things, there will be a Spinning Prize Wheel, Trapeze and Circus acts, scantily clad Burlesque dancers, and Swing Jazz Bands. The $35 general admission ticket will let you sample four floors of over 50 obscure beers and whiskeys; the VIP $45 ticket gets you a special private tasting along with a gift bag (VIPs also get to go in early at 6:30 p.m.).

A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to East Ville Des Folies' charitable partner Third Street Music School Settlement, a nonprofit organization providing group instruction in music and dance to 3,000 students. Tickets are on sale now here.
