Here's another reminder that life in NYC requires constant vigilance when it comes to keeping an Eye On Your Shit, especially when you're just trying to relax and eat some raw fish soaked in soy sauce. On Friday, October 23rd a man was caught on camera walking into a kosher sushi restaurant in Sheepshead Bay and nimbly liberating a woman's wallet from a bag hanging on a hook by the restroom. Here's how it's done:
Police say the suspect strolled out of Sushi Tokyo, located at 627 Kings Highway, before anyone realized what happened. The wallet contained a credit card and 30 lousy bucks. For this, he's now wanted for grand larceny.
The man was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a backpack. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
