Okay, it's freezing. Not just freezing -- bone chillingly bitter. We've been at our desk for hours now and still can't manage to fight off the chill from our morning commute. This kind of weather makes us crave warm, cozy comfort food -- hopefully at least one of these options is close enough to you for a quick dash out, or even better, to deliver to you.

setagaya-noodles.jpgSoup: Get a warm and cozy homemade soup and sandwich from Grey Dog's Coffee, or a big, hearty bowl of ramen from Momofuku Noodle bar or Ramen Setagaya.

Chili: Yes, it's soup-like, but packs even more of that stick-to-your ribs goodness. Our absolute favorite is the Bowl o' Red from Daisy May's BBQ with hearty hunks of beef and extra spice if you want it.

Mac and Cheese: We're a fan of the frizzled-onion topped version at Eatery, or for those who like spice, try the green chili version at Good.

Meat Loaf and Mashed Potatoes: We're still looking for a favorite meat loaf. Have heard good things about Ouest's version which we haven't yet tried (we know there's bacon involved), but we'd love to hear your suggestions for a good one.

Pasta with a Ragu: If you're lucky enough to snag a spot at Al di La, their hearty tagliatelle ragu will certainly warm you up.

Hot Chocolate: Mr. Chocolate himself, Jacques Torres, has creamy and rich regular and spicy versions for warmth inside and out.

What are you craving on this frigid afternoon?
