If you've been dying to try fried chicken based on recipes from Momofuku's David Chang and the Roots' Questlove, we've got good news. As you'll recall, the pair recently faced off on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in an epic battle in which Chang walked away victorious (not sure what we are talking about? Catch up here). Now the pair are teaming up for a special charity dinner [PDF] and the best part? It is actually something you could theoretically get into.
The event will go down at Momofuku Noodle Bar on Sunday, May 20 starting at 5:30 p.m. when Momo will serve up Questlove's drumsticks along with Chang's (in addition to the restaurant's regular menu). Unlike a normal night at a Momo, they will be taking reservations for parties of six starting Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. (they'll announce a special reservation e-mail that day on momofukupresents.com). But if you don't get a resy? Never fear, walk-ins will be accepted. And there is another good thing! All proceeds from Questlove's chicken will go to the Food Bank of New York City.
