Remember last month, when super-scary right-wing advocacy group One Million Moms campaigned to get "vulgar, repulsive" Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls ice cream off the shelves of stores across the country? Well, holy baby Jesus! It might have actually worked!

Apparently, some supermarkets have decided not to carry the limited-edition ice cream, which we found highly amusing, if not necessarily highly delicious during a Highly Scientific taste test. The chains aren't saying whether One Million Moms came knocking on their door, though one Stop & Shop employee told the AP that "if we do get feedback from customers that they want it, we'll certainly revisit the decision."

A representative from Ben & Jerry's said the Schweddy Balls had become the most popular limited-edition flavor the company has ever produced. "Yes, some supermarket chains decided not to carry Schweddy Balls. That is true, possibly because they found the name too irreverent. We respect their decision," he said. To show your support for our American right to have access to Schweddy Balls, just pop on over to Rockefeller Center, send a Schweddy greeting card on Facebook, or simply hang out at Zuccotti Park until the company drops off another free load.
