It was only by six doors, but a move's a move and reason to celebrate for outstanding ice cream purveyors Van Leeuwen, who are opening up version 2.0 of their Greenpoint scoop shop. For their grand (re)opening on Saturday they'll be dishing out $1 scoops of their delicious classic and vegan ice creams from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (one per person, you animals), including their special vegan sticky toffee pudding ice cream.

Saturday—and weekends in general—are a good time for GPers to stock up on Doughnut Plant offerings, which the shop will carry a random selection of until supplies last. Their selection of baked goods continues with treats from Balthazar and Ovenly, plus Toby's Estate Coffee and Rishi organic teas.

The new shop also shares an address with vegan diner Champs Junior and though there's nothing in the works just yet, Van Leeuwen owner Laura O'Neill tells us they'd "love to do something!"
