As was foretold, California-based burger chain giant Umami Burger will open their third NYC location in Williamsburg. A rep for the company confirmed today that the new shop will open at 156 North 4th Street at Bedford Avenue on Thursday, March 12th at 11 a.m. They beat you to it, Shake Shack!

The new, 3,000 square foot store will have seating available for 80, with an "expansive patio" with more seating debuting in the summer. Burger favorites from the other outposts— like the Original Umami and The Truffle—will be available, but the Brooklyn store will also be one of the first to debut new menu items, including additional burgers plus salads, sodas and cocktails.

For those keeping track at home, there's a lot of activity on that block. Late last year, fancy salad chain Sweetgreen opened up on the block and there's long been word that the Torrisi team will further expand their Parm brand nearby. Now give us a Doughnut Plant and we never have to leave the neighborhood again.
