Pumpkin enthusiasts and purveyors of cheap produce Trader Joe's are set to make a landing in Downtown Brooklyn at the new mixed-use development behemoth City Point. The grocer will open in 2016 in a 13,800-square-foot space on the development's concourse level in the basement, which also houses the food court Dekalb Market Hall. This'll be the second Trader Joe's in the area, with the borough's only other location nearby in Cobble Hill.

It looks like Trader Joe's determined to be more of a Brooklyn presence, with a Williamsburg location already in the works and rumors of further expansion into Prospect Heights and Park Slope. Whether they can compete with the Wegmans fervor remains to be seen.

When it's complete in 2020, City Point will offer 1.8 million-square-feet of housing, office space and retail. The city's first official Alamo Drafthouse cinema will call the space home, as will Century21 and CityTarget. What, no Shake Shack?
