In a devastating blow to lunchtime, a tractor-trailer driver carrying deli meats crashed into a truck carrying bread on I-287 in New Jersey this morning. (We're told a truck carrying mustard was tragically delayed in traffic.)

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. on 287 South in Piscataway; NBC New York reports, "Chopper 4 footage from over the scene shows first responders cleaning up spilled bread and meats. The trailer portion of one of the trucks appears to be destroyed, and its contents were spewed about the roadway."

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. For a more upbeat sandwich-related story, here's our guide to the best bagel sandwiches in NYC.
