Swing for your supper starting tonight when LaRina Pastificio & Vino, a pasta-centric restaurant, opens in Fort Greene. The cute back patio boasts a loveseat swing built for two, the kind you might find on the lanai of some widows in Florida. If it's occupied—and let's be real it's never NOT going to be occupied—take a seat beneath the ivy-draped walls and bide your time.

If you're not heading to Myrtle Avenue for the swing (weird), maybe it's for the pastas, which are homemade and are the thrust of the operation. Choose between "tradizione" offerings like Reginette al Pomodoro and Lasagne Verdo or "pensiero" (thoughtful) options including Buckwheat Conchigle with ndjua sausage or a Chili Rigatoni with octopus, clams and mussels in a tomato-olive sauce.

Or don't choose at all. There's a pasta tasting menu of sorts, with options for all different hunger levels. Select three, five or seven and the kitchen will send out the appropriate number of pastas to your table. Vegan and gluten-free pastas are also on offer.

Why anyone wouldn't consider a plate of noodles meal enough is beyond me, but there are more than just carbs on the menu. Fried pickled vegetables, a cucumber and watermelon salad, and toasted focaccia with anchovies could all make for a pre-pasta bite, while a Bollito Misto with beef, lamb, pork and vegetables a fitting paleo-esque third course.
