The City Council had a busy night last night, passing bills requiring paid sick leave and a watchdog for the NYPD. But more importantly, they were also busy guaranteeing your God given right to eat Eggs Benedict outside before noon on a Sunday. Finally!

After a tense year of clandestine al fresco brunching, the City Council voted to abolish an outdated law that barred restaurants from serving meals outdoors before noon on Sundays. We're now all free to eat pancakes outdoors starting at 10 a.m., just the way Jesus wanted it.
