Bryant Park's seasonal holiday market—officially known as the "Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park"—kicks off on Saturday, October 28th with the promise of free hot chocolate for eager beavers who show up before the official opening at noon. Danny Meyer's Public Fare will be pouring 100 free hot chocolates to celebrate the reopening of the market, plus free skate rentals and "a pair of Bank of America branded gloves," which this blogger just learned is one of many branded items one could purchase from the "Bank of America Store," which is a thing that exists (seriously).
Beyond the free drinks and stuff, the Market has a lineup of food vendors curated by Urbanspace that fill in the glass huts. This year's lineup includes returning vendors like Mr. Bing and Baked Cheese Haus, who offer a raclette service and other Scandinavian-style baked cheeses. DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections, the raw cookie dough shop, will also be in the lineup this year, plus Cheesesteaks by the Truffleist, Bolivian Llama Party, Arancini Bros, and others.
The Market houses plenty of non-edible options, too, from apparel to home goods to trinkets and beauty products. It will be inside Bryant Park, along with the skating rink, through January.
