JM_elevenmadisonpark_2.gif So you’ve been good all week. Brought lunch to work, only drank during happy hour specials and cabbed it only in dire situations (read: heels over 4 inches or 2 minutes until the game starts). Now you have that extra $225 burning a hole in your pocket and you’re just not sure how to spend it. Ok, so maybe you have a few ideas on how to spend - but come on, how many Derek Jeter bobble heads do you really need?

If only there was a place where you can try the best wines of Bordeaux… where a leading wine expert would reveal the secrets of the wine region and chat with passion and knowledge about his favorite wines … where you would be served, by a world renowned chef, the most delectable meal …all for $225. If only …

Hold on, don’t place that bid on e-bay just yet, it looks like PJ Wine has answered our prayers. Next Wednesday, March 9th, they will be sponsoring the “Wines of Bordeaux dinner” hosted by Master of Wine, Clive Coates. This dinner will feature a four-course meal prepared by Chef Kerry Heffernan of Eleven Madison Park. The meal will be expertly paired with famous wines like Margaux, Mouton Rothschild and Chateau d’Yquem. And if that's not good enough, Clive Coates will share his expertise with guests as he leads them through this unforgettable tasting and pairing dinner.

It’s like they were in our heads when they planned this event. The specific details are:
Location: Eleven Madison Park, 11 Madison Ave. at 24th St.
When: Wednesday, March 9th at 7pm
Price: $225
How to get tickets: Register at www.pjwine.com

While we understand $225 is a big chunk of change, the proceeds from this once-in-a-lifetime event will benefit City Harvest. So not only do you get to spend a lot of money on amazing food and wine but it can all be under the guise of philanthropy – it’s like a dream come true.
