It’s been five years and — amazingly — Cronuts are still a thing. In 2013, people waited on line for hours to spend $5 on these croissant doughnuts hybrids. Now they are $6 each and the line is only about 20 minutes and doesn’t go outside the store, though that may be because you can order online — or because copycats are everywhere, including Dunkin’ Donuts. (Pro tip: if you order online, you can pickup six Cronuts at a time. In store, they’ll only sell you two.)
In case you’ve never seen a Cronut, here’s a look at all 124 flavors they’ve sold over the years at their locations in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and London.

There were some regulars on line this morning, like Evan Gunter from Alabama, who now lives in New York. He says he’s had a Cronut every couple of weeks since January and has spent at least $100 on them so far.
But the majority of the people at Dominique Ansel Bakery today were there to try the Cronut for the first time, like Nicole Schiavone and John Bennett, visiting from Baltimore. "My first bite of my first New York Cronut," Bennett said, pausing dramatically to chew. "Mmmm. That is awesome. Oh my god."
The celebration continues this weekend, with free Cronut Holes in flavors from around the world:
