The legendary Arepa Lady of Jackson Heights has finally debuted the brick-and-mortar outpost of her popular food cart. Joe DiStefano of Chopsticks + Marrow reports that the eatery opened its doors on Saturday, perfectly timed for Colombia's win over Uruguay. The eatery is closed today but will operate at 77-02AA Roosevelt Avenue during all seasons, a win for arepa fans who missed the food cart when it hibernated from October to April.

The restaurant will serve the same delicious arepas as the cart, including the arepa de choclo, which DiStefano says is "as good as ever." Still, if having it from the cart is your preferred arepa delivery method, Eater notes that Maria Cano will still be flipping the corn cakes on Friday and Saturday nights during the season.
