Barcade, the much-loved Williamsburg bar that combines beer with arcade games (it also has outposts in Jersey City and Philadelphia), wants to take you on a beer-heavy road trip this holiday season (don't worry—they're driving). The bar is teaming up with Sixpoint Brewery for a holiday fundraiser called "Highway To Help," which, cheesy title aside, sounds like a pretty solid way to spend a Saturday.

The gist is simple: meet at Barcade Brooklyn at noon on December 10, drink beer for two hours, then get on a bus and drive to Barcade Jersey City, drink more beer, drive to Barcade Philadelphia, drink more beer, then drive back to Brooklyn around midnight. Over the course of the day, you will consume 26 different Sixpoint beers (in five-once pours), food from Barcade Philadelphia, and "special treats" for the bus (which DOES contain a bathroom, thankfully). The event is a kick-off party for Sixpoint's "Barcade Beer Project," a series of limited-edition beers they're brewing exclusively for the bar, which ticketholders will get first dibs on trying.

The $100 ticket is a bit steep, however, in addition to the gluttonous quantity of beer and entertainment mentioned above, which is being donated by Barcade and Sixpoint, all net proceeds will benefit Philabundance, Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and Brooklyn Rescue Mission. So go on, spend the entire day drinking beer and playing video games—it's for a good cause.
