In a spot of good news for beleaguered dive bar Subway Inn, they've locked in the exact address for their relocation, just two blocks east of their current digs on 60th near Lexington. The Salinas family have signed a lease at 1140 Second Avenue, according to the Post, taking over the Blue Room bar space right next to the Queensboro Bridge entrance and the Roosevelt Island Tram.

We already knew the bar was moving eastward and now know more details about their destination, which includes 1,800 square feet on the ground floor and a 1,000 square foot basement. The family says the new spot will be an "exact replica" of the old space (plus the original neon sign, thank God) and that they plan to open sometime in February.

While we have every hope that this new incarnation will be as gnarly and pee-stained as the original, there's always a little something lost in translation. We have until early next month to relive the glory days at the original before we make new memories blackout at the revival.
