Three years after they successfully opened the huge Queens beer garden Studio Square, the same team is tackling a different mainstay: steak. Say hello to Studio Square's new neighbor, the S Prime steakhouse. Because sometimes you just want a big piece of meat.

Aesthetically, S Prime looks the way you expect a steak house to look. So, lots of dark woods, a big bar, a glass-enclosed wine wall and cozy corners for some private conversations (not to mention a few private dining rooms). It also seems to have quite a few chandeliers to class up the joint.

As for the menu? It is pretty much a steak house menu, priced as such (which isn't a bad thing!). The raw bar has a colossal shrimp cocktail for $20 and a half-dozen oysters for $14, tartars of the steak, salmon and tuna varieties are available (try all three for $20) and of course they've got standard sides like creamed spinach (on the "good sides" menu) and onion rings (on the 'bad sides' menu). And of course, steaks which have been dry aged on site. Those range from a $55 28 oz. 28-day rib eye to a $44 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Fish and other meats are available too, if you are the type of person who doesn't eat steak at a steakhouse.
