Pour one out for Milady's: the longstanding SoHo drinking hole will serve its last beer-and-shot tomorrow night. EV Grieve reported the rumor earlier today, and an employee confirmed to us that "tomorrow is the last night."
The classic dive has hung out on the corner of Thompson and Prince Streets for years, long before SoHo transformed into a fancy shopping mall. The employee we spoke to didn't give us a reason for the closure, though EV Grieve did spot a real estate ad for the building listing a $10 million sale price.
They say deaths come in threes, and Milady's joins two other longtime spots in the Great Classic New York Heaven In The Sky: the Greenwich Village Gray's Papaya and Barnes & Noble's former Fifth Ave flagship store, both of which shuttered earlier this week.
