Halo Top, the L.A.-based ice cream manufacturer that makes magical ice cream pints that contain under 400 calories and packs a lot of protein, is coming to NYC to serve up their new summer flavor... soft serve style.
Their new flavor is Peaches & Cream, which they describe as "a delicious blend of peaches in a vanilla and cream base with only 320 calories and 20 grams of protein per pint." The flavor will be offered from June through the end of August, and you can buy it wherever you find pints of ice cream around NYC (just like this guy did).
To launch the new flavor, they will be in New York from May 31st to June 3rd to offer it up soft serve style, and served in something called a Supermoon Cruffin. That's a croissant-muffin hybrid created by Supermoon Bakehouse. But wait, will this be good for your social media presence? We are assured that this offering is "insanely Instagrammable."
Their soft serve pop-up will be housed inside Supermoon Bakehouse (120 Rivington Street; hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.), with their ice cream being "served swirled inside a wildly delicious Supermoon cruffin for FREE for the first 150 guests each day." On top of Peaches & Cream, they will also be offering Peanut Butter Cup and Vanilla Bean.
Can we expect Halo Top soft serve oozing out of machines permanently in NYC? A publicist told us, "In terms of Halo Top bringing a scoop shop [there are two in L.A.] to the East Coast, there’s a possibility in the future but there are no set plans just yet."
