Our favorite Sixpoint beer has, in our experience, also proven to be its most elusive. Many bars in NYC have Sweet Action and the Crisp flowing out of their ears, but our beloved Brownstone Ale can be harder to find on tap these days. That's why we're delighted to report that Sixpoint has finally added Brownstone to their growing roster of tallboy cans sold retail.

Brownstone, a "delicate balance between a brown ale and a porter," was the first beer produced by Sixpoint when the local craft brewery launched in 2004. It's brewed with 8 different malt varieties, including Munich, Chocolate, and Caramel, and has an ABV of 6.0%. On the International Bittering Units scale [IBU], it weighs in at 45, and on the level of CGM [Coveted by Gothamist's Mouthole], it ranks 100 out of 100. You should be able to find it in stores this week wherever Sixpoint is sold.
