A "globetrotting" character with a fondness for magazine covers and literal globes serves as the model for Mr. Jones, a cocktail den that opened inside the Trump SoHo. He shares a penchant for alcohol, beautiful women and big stars like his musical counterpart and we're meant to feel as though we've stepped back in time to the '60s into his well-appointed living room to share in these passions with him.
Cocktails include a Doctor Mumbai ($16) with Cava Brava Rum, mango, curry leaves, lime, ginger, club soda and Peychauds bitters. Or maybe you prefer a glass of Valdo prosecco ($16) from Italy or a bottle of Dom Perignon Rose for $775 of your American dollars. Mr. Jones may be the "last classic gentlemen of the 1960’s," but he's not going to pick up your tab. International snacks include Cauliflower Gobi ($12), Merguez Kofte ($16) and Crispy Bao Buns ($16) stuffed with short rib.
Expect performances from "Mr. Jones's House Band" and a "weekly surprise performance of your gracious host's choosing." Are the Counting Crows on tour?
