There's a nip in the air and a spring in your feet and a dogged determination to enjoy the great outdoors while it's not trying to melt you or freeze off one of your toes. You should do that, but you should also take this opportunity to put as much delicious food into your system as possible, for Winter Is Coming, and we mammals must soon hibernate. Food is good. Food is great. Food will save your soul.

Here's where to feast this week:

On Monday, Moku Moku in Bushwick will host a pop-up sampling from Lex Taylor's Burger Shop. Taylor, who won Esquire Network's "The Next Great Burger," will dole out his signature burger, the Lex Taylor Classic—that $8 beauty is made of grass-fed Wagyu beef, is served on a fried beignet bun and comes topped with cheddar cheese, tomato, onion, escarole, saffron aoli, homemade pickles and pear jelly. A vegetarian lobster mushroom burger and shrimp-mango burger will also be available for purchase, along with sake, wine and beer. The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. and is free to attend; you can RSVP online.

Head to Park Slope on Wednesday for a Chef's Tasting Event at restaurant Franny's. The six-dish feast, held in the restaurant's private wine cellar, will feature dishes like chittara cacio e pepe pasta, clam pizza, and an heirloom tomato salad, all served family-style. The meal kicks off at 8 p.m. and costs $50 to attend (drinks not included); you can purchase a seat online.

And on Thursday, head to the Mall at Bay Plaza in Baychester for The Bronx Food and Wine Festival, which will benefit the Food Bank of New York. A $50 ticket gets you access fro 7 to 9 p.m., giving you the opportunity to sample offerings from local breweries and eateries—a $75 ticket gets you an extra hour of feasting. You can purchase a ticket online.
