Yes, the Barlcays Center will have Fatty 'Cue and Calexico inside, but there's big news about more restaurants opening by the arena. Earlier this week, the Barclays Center announced that Starbucks and a macaroni and cheese joint called Elbow Room (think toppings like "Kobe beef, Maine lobster and locally-grown organic veggies," per a press release) would open at the Shops at Barclays Center. And now the Post breaks news that Shake Shack may open a location across the street.

While the popular burger-chain (which opened a downtown Brooklyn spot last year) is looking at a "move into prime Flatbush Avenue real estate across the street from the 18,200-seat arena," according to the Post's source, the landlord Michael Pintchik "refused to comment." However, he did mention that, in addition to Elbow Room, there will be a "Texas-style barbecue joint 'featuring a top pitmaster from Austin, Texas" at one of his properties.

Also popping up in other locations near the arena: "A high-end Scottish whisky bar called Duke of Montrose that is coming to Fifth Avenue and Bergen Street and will be run by the same owner of the popular Upper East Side pub Caledonia" and "a seafood sports lounge on Vanderbilt Street called, 'Fish Fish, Mo Fish,' that’ll “prepare fish anyway you want."
