With the weather winding down to fall conditions, the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park (Madison at 23rd Street) will close on November 1. However, the burger-hot-dog--and-frozen-custard temple has been holding "Shacktoberfest." The Post reports that starting last night, there are "night sausage-grilling and new custards like pear in the park" through Friday, 10/22; plus, on Saturday 10/23, there's Sundae School with custard- and sundae-making. Ooh, now that's a Sundae School Gothamist can get behind.
