Last week, the exuberantly benevolent service-industry do-gooder Tips For Jesus swept into New York City, leaving a $3,500 tip for a server at the Lincoln Square location of The Smith. TFJ also had a busy weekend, leaving behind a total of $8,000 in tips!

He left a $7,000 tip on a $2,994.61 Friday night dinner bill at NoMad (lots of roasted chicken with foie gras, we assume), which the restaurant confirmed. Also, it looks like he splurged on a @tipsforjesus stamp!

Then, he left $1,000 on a $111.05 bill at Bo's Kitchen and Bar Room.

The server Aruj Dhawan told the Post that three people had ordered beers, bourbon, pasta, shrimp and pork chops, "As I was about to drop the check off, one of the men said they would ‘make my night.’ They called me over, gave me the check — I was amazed. They took a picture [with me] and literally, just like that, they walked out."

The restaurant's manager even asked the tipper—who is believed to be former PayPal executive Jack Selby—why tip so much and was told, "Just because.... We tip a hundred times the bill."

The staff at Bo's pool tips and share them, which is a total Jesus move too.
