Nothing says Labor Day weekend like a backyard barbecue, and that's exactly the premise that Snap Food Truck is running on this weekend when it officially kicks off its new Red Hook food truck lot hours with a Labor Day BBQ. The Snap truck will be stationed at its new lot location at 100 Sullivan Street on Monday, September 3rd along with other local retailers such as La Newyorkina, Mexican sweets specialists, and Out of My Mind Vintage to observe the holiday.
Starting September 10th, the Snap truck will be at its new lot location on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and select weekend afternoons and will frequently feature one or two other NYC food trucks and artisanal vendors alongside it. The lot is small— it can only comfortably accommodate about 50 people, so get to know your neighbors!
Snap's menu offers the barbecue staples— burgers, dogs, and fries— with a concentration on local and organic ingredients (this is Brooklyn...). And if you want even more sustainability practices served with your sustenance, the truck runs on recycled cooking oil from the deep fryer that has been converted to biodiesel.
