Ramen master and restauranteur Ivan Orkin will be opening his latest venture—and first non-ramen restaurant—inside Gotham West Market. He's calling it Corner Slice, and in addition to pizza, it'll be serving coffee, sandwiches, breads, pastries, and cakes all made on premises.

Corner Slice will be Orkin's second restaurant inside Gotham West Market—it also houses Slurp Shop, the Gotham West outpost of his namesake restaurant Ivan Ramen—and his third restaurant in New York. Orkin also owns five restaurants, including two ramen shops in Tokyo.

Orkin told Eater that the inspiration for Corner Slice came from a desire to "reimagine" the coffeeshop. "I've been passionate about coffee for a long time and have always felt that a great homemade nosh goes hand-in-hand with a great coffee," he said. "And it goes without saying that as a New Yorker, I'm passionate about pizza." Corner Slice will take over the space that was previously occupied by Blue Bottle Coffee, and its coffee will be supplied by La Colombe.

Corner Slice will be located at 600 11th Avenue at 44th Street.
