This week a new seafood joint opened up on Union Street in Park Slope... and aside from a few first day hiccups, so far the early reviews are more promising than the widely panned Brooklyn Crab in Red Hook. The Crab Spot aims to serve up quality food in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, Rachel Mindin (daughter of owners Alex and Steve) told us earlier this week, adding that they "have a fully stocked bar, lots of fresh food, [and can] fit approximately 75 people."
Click through for a look at the menu, which includes: Crab & Shrimp Nachos ($10.99), New England Clam Chowder (starting at $3.75, even in a bread bowl!), and Mixed Seafood Pots (starting at $20.99). They also have a full kids menu, and a dessert menu that includes Nutella & Walnut Crepes ($5.99).
Through January 31st, Mindin tells us they'll be offering a free house drink with the purchase of any adult entree. They don't have a website yet, but you can follow along for updates on their Twitter account.
