Sitting not-so-pretty on West 125th Street is the site of the old Taystee Cake factory, which has been vacant since the late '70s. The industrial buildings have been decaying for decades, proving ample opportunity for creepy photos like the ones here, taken by blogger Harlem Hybrid.

In 2005, Citarella considered taking over the space, a deal which ultimately fell through, much to the chagrin of neighborhood officials. Last year, the NYC Economic Development Corp announced plans to redevelop the old factory and turn it into CREATE @ Harlem Green, which will house businesses like the Harlem Brewing Company, Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center, and Carver Federal Savings Bank. But before Harlem Green opens for business, there's still much work to be done, as Harlem Hybrid proves, after managing to sneak into the abandoned space.
