Keith McNally's long-running Meatpacking District restaurant Pastis closed earlier this year so construction could be done on its home of 15 years. At the time, the restaurateur insisted the eatery would reopen in its Ninth Avenue digs upon completion of construction sometime in 2015. Now it looks like that won't be the case, as Fork in the Road reports the eatery will have to move.

"At the moment, it doesn't look like Pastis will go back into that building (9 Ninth Avenue)," McNally's reps tell the website. We reached out to McNally's team to see if there's any indication of where the restaurant will be moving and we'll update if we hear back. As for completely unsubstantiated rumors, the troubled Financial District P.J. Clarke's insists it's being ousted to make way for Pastis.

Meanwhile, McNally has been busy with his Bowery reboot Cherche Midi, which has gotten early buzz about its Prime Rib Burger.
