Tomorrow evening Veslka will truly live up to its cheap eats designation with a throwback menu to prices not seen since the eatery opened in 1954. That means 60 cent bowls of their top-notch borscht, $1.50 plates of hearty pierogies and 50 cent potato pancakes with all the fixings. Drinks are discounted too; there's probably nowhere else in Manhattan where you'll be able to score a cup of coffee for 10 cents and a Coke for 15 cents.
There's a catch, of course. The restaurant will only be offering these deep discounts from 6 p.m. until 6:54 p.m., so unless you're prepared to kill a day parked outside the restaurant (we know know you're out there!) you'll probably be back to paying $14.75 for your order of stuffed cabbage.
