Soon it won't be a question of where there's a new Shake Shack, it'll be a question of where there isn't a Shake Shack. Well, one area to cross off that list is Midtown East, where Danny Meyer's burger empire opens for crinkle cut consumption today. The new store at 600 Third Avenue—located in a former Qdoba, RIP—debuts at 11 a.m., just a few short blocks from its sister shop in Grand Central Terminal. In de Blasio's New York, no one should ever have to walk more than five blocks for a Concrete.

Speaking of which, the new store has its own special flavors, as expected. First, the very filling sounding East Slide, with vanilla frozen custard, strawberry puree, cheesecake blondie and banana. There's also a Murray Hill Malt with chocolate custard, marshmallow sauce, malt powder, chocolate truffle cookie dough and Mast Brothers cocoa nibs; mercifully, no bros. And finally, the Jitney, with vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce and Tate's Bake Shop chocolate chop cookies; 5% of sales from this one benefit Bideawee, a really spectacular animal welfare organization. You want this.
