Iced Blended lovers, rejoice! Beloved LA-based chain Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf opened their first NYC outpost this morning, right on schedule.

The store, at 1412 Broadway (at 39th St) reportedly got down to business without a hitch, and before-work crowds starting forming around 8 a.m. The one Yelp reviewer who stopped by noted that the establishment is big and "decorated beautifully," with sleek computer screens, embossed tables and free (and fully running!) wifi. "I was pretty amazed at how crowded this place was, especially before 8 a.m. on its first day. Getting a seat is going to be a problem here if the morning crowd is any indication of how this is going to be normally. Service was impeccable, the baristas were super friendly and I was out the door in about 5 minutes despite the morning pre-work crowd," she writes.

Comments on the Bean's Facebook page have been equally supportive, with customers quipping "I've been waiting for so long...Starbucks who?" and "This is the best day ever!!!!!!" Check out the store's Twitter for updates and specials as the Cali chain tries to figure out exactly which Blended flavor New Yorkers will flip for.
