Brooklyn's line friendly foodie paradise Smorgasburg will be coming to Central Park for a one-night-only extravaganza next month. The food gathering already services the park's SummerStage program at Rumsey Playfield with four food vendors, plus their wine and beer program. Now, they're doing an expanded version with 30 of their vendors both old and new—and it could become permanent!

On Friday, September 19th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., stalwart vendors including Mighty Quinns, Ramen Burger and Milk Truck will join a few newbies for an evening takeover that includes an as-yet-unnamed DJ. Fresh dishes come in the form of Hawaiian ceviche (East Coast Poke), seafood toastadas (El Super), butcher shop burgers (Fleisher's) and a few others, plus sweets from Butter & Scotch and their regular beer and wine bar.

The pop-up is presented as a "preview of 2015," so maybe Manhattanites should prepare for a full-time Smorg a little closer to home base? "If tons of you show up and it goes great, maybe we'll do it on the regular next year," they say in their announcement. The power is YOURS.
