You know this whole Sandy business is serious when Starbucks goes and shuts down all of its New York City and Long Island locations while we all wait out the storm. OR DID THEY? We've found at least one open Starbucks in the borough of Manhattan where you can get your sweet, sweet Soy Vanilla Late Mocha Venti fix.
Though technically the Wall Street Journal reports that Starbucks closed all of its locations yesterday at 4 p.m. in preparation for the storm we called and confirmed that the Starbucks on the main floor of the Marriott Marquis on 45th Street (the one in the gift shop) is in fact open. And we'll bet that it isn't the only 'bucks franchise still brewing around town today. If you know of any others, put them in the comments.
Of course, Starbucks isn't the only corporate caffeine pusher to suspend operations because of the hurricane; Dunkin' Donuts has also reportedly closed many (but not all) of its locations for the day.
