According to a Quinnipiac poll released today [pdf], 82% of New Yorkers say that Chik-fil-A's bigoted position towards same-sex marriage shouldn't preclude the company from receiving building permits. Then again, nearly 25% of New Yorkers are obese, and most of us probably would down a tasty chicken sandwich even if it was from Charles Manson.

The poll also noted that 83% of New Yorkers believe that politicians shouldn't attempt to discourage people from eating there. The one that did, Christine Quinn, currently enjoys the support of 29% of Democratic voters in a theoretical mayoral race, but that may change if she keeps choking the chicken, so to speak.
