For those who desperately want to try the food they see on TV, another restaurant has opened with a tube-approved toque. Catch, the new Meatpacking District restaurant from the EMM Group (Abe and Arthur's), doesn't just serve up a menu [PDF] of the freshest catch of the day (get it?)—it also boasts Top Chef's third season winner Hung Huynh as its executive chef (working with EMM's executive chef Franklin Becker). Y'all ready for some seafood?

Catch serves up its pescatarian-friendly menu in a sceney semi-industrial space (it used to be a factory) centered around a floating staircase with a wine wall off to one side and lots of exposed brick and funky furniture. It has 140 seats on its main first floor, which also includes a regular bar and an "interactive" oyster bar. Upstairs there is an open kitchen and another bar, along with chef's tables seated around the kitchen. And it doesn't stop there. There is also a glassed-in lounge on the roof along with a rooftop terrace.

As for the food? It is split into various sections including a raw bar/sushi/cold dishes menu [PDF], a hot menu [PDF] and a menu of larger entrees that aren't necessarily fishy at all. Want toro tartare ($38) with crispy chicken ($26)? They can do that for you. Or you can settle back and dig into a meme-merging macaroni and lobster cream dish made with mascarpone and breadcrumbs ($18).
