The Meatball Shop's Michael Chernow has taken a break from rolling balls to cast a line out on Broome Street in Nolita to open Seamore's, a seafood-centric eatery serving up a daily changing selection of fish. The more specific focus when the restaurant opens on Monday will be "under-utilized local species" like porgy, monkfish and flounder, with a "Daily Landings" board heralding the catch of the day. Though the menu was designed by Chernow, it'll be executed by chef Gregg Drusinsky, who if nothing else has a fanboy in Anthony Bourdain.

The main event at Seamore's is The Reel Deal ($21), where you choose your selection of seafood from their Daily Landings and then select a sauce, like Salsa Verde, Harissa Cashew and Red Curry. Each order also comes with three sides, which run from starches like brown rice, beans and warm quinoa to veggies including crispy snap peas and asparagus.

Tacos like the Spicy Squid ($13) come topped wiht kale, apple, cotija cheese and corn nuts where sandwiches ($16) include a Blackened Fish with avocado and citrus aioli and a Spiced Tuna Burger with chipotle may and cucumber relish get fortified with lettuce and tomato. Landlubbers can opt for a Grass Fed Beef Burger fully loaded with bacon, cheddar and special sauce (remember, Chernow knows how to handle his meat!) and there are plenty of vegetarian options like Roasted Mushroom Tacos ($13) and a Beet-Mushroom-Kale Burger.
