It's been over seven months since Shake Shack's flagship location shuttered for renovations, a full two months longer than initially expected. The Madison Square Park original has been a sad husk in the intervening months, but it'll all be brought back to life this Wednesday, May 20th, when the OG location triumphantly reopens for service.

To celebrate the occasion, the team has concocted a ParkBurger ($7.09 for a single, $9.39 for a double) topped with cave-aged Jasper Hill Farm raw cow’s milk cheese sauce and Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon. They're also debuting a special collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery, the Shack Phoenix, to commemorate their rise from skeletal form to the new-and-improved beauty it's become.

The day's festivities also include performances by the Brooklyn United Marching Band plus replica models of the MSQ Park locations up for sale. Lotta Brooklyn-based stuff for a Manhattan eatery! Danny Meyer knows where the cool is at.
