It's rooftop bar season and here's another to add to your list, should such a thing exist. Here's a peek at Lovage on top of a building on West 40th Street.

The bar's got some pizzazz, we'll give it that. Mismatched upholstery, laser-cut glass on the walls, and that's before you get to the views, which wrap around 360 degrees. You can spot several landmarks from up there and the enclosed glass means good viewing even in the rain or when it's cold. There's even a fireplace—add it to your fireplace list, too!

Addison Hospitality Group, which runs several other rooftop bars and restaurants, also opened a ground floor restaurant within the hotel. Magnolia serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dishes like gnocchi with truffle cream, braised ox cheek, and fried octopus.
