Loosie's Cafe—the third installment in the Loosie fleet that includes a New Orleans-inspired bar and a restaurant called Loosie's Kitchen on Williamsburg's South 6th Street—opens Friday adjacent to its sister dining and drinking establishments. The all-day cafe will serve coffee drinks and pastries in the morning, which evolves into day-drinking when happy hour begins at noon. If the words "frozen green goddess matcha margarita" mean something to you, this is your new go-to spot.
Same goes for things like avocado tartines, grain bowls and "Matcha Spirulina Donuts," all of which are part of the lunch menu. They're also doing a BEC Biscuit with a bacon gravy, which lightens up the preciousness a bit. Croissant, cookies, doughnuts and Nutella beignets made by pastry chef Kyla Kelly round out the all-day menu.
In keeping with Loosie's design aesthetic, there's plenty of greenery and even some hammocks to relax in. A non-functioning bathtub has been repurposed into a makeshift table, setting the scene for an avalanche of Instagrams.
If you're lucky, you may even meet Bobby, co-owner Vincent Marino’s dog.
