The restaurant at "gastrohall" Union Fare launches brunch this weekend, following in the spirit of their insane croissants. The star of the new menu: The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich, a gargantuan mess of apple sausage, egg and cheese on a sliced cinnamon roll with a bacon glaze. If you're not ready to start taking a statin just yet, there is also a Grain Bowl with fried eggs...and a Breakfast mac n Cheese with bacon and sausage. Balance!

The newish Bulletin Market on Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg has been a festive addition to the neighborhood's seasonal outdoor markets, with a full booze and food lineup plus indie designers and sometimes a slip and slide. This weekend, swing by for one of the last sweltering weekends for boozy ice pops by Fruta POP, a local company making all-natural flavor ice. They'll be offering a few flavors, including fruit-based Altaneve Prosecco Pomegranate Punch and Mimosa ($6) and pick-me-up flavors Cold Brew Coffee and Latte ($4).

(Taste Talks)

All weekend long, the Taste Talks series offers chef-driven meals, panels on all things food-related, and a great big bbq on the Williamsburg waterfront. Local restaurants are joining forces for collaborative bbq dishes, like Emily X Hometown BBQ making a grilled pizza with pulled pork, and Greenpoint Fish & Lobster pairing with Blue Point Brewing for grilled oysters with seaweed butter and Prop Stopper Seaweed IPA. Tickets for the bbq are $49.

CoolMess, a brand-new ice cream parlor where patrons make their own ice cream, has collaborated with Instagram stars the Brunch Boys to create a brunch-time ice cream sundae that would have given your 12-year-old incarnation a serious sugar high. The creation features Belgian waffle pieces, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and a handful of Cap'n Crunch cereal and chocolate-covered espresso beans.
