A new Littleneck in Williamsburg makes for a trio of restaurants bearing that name in Brooklyn, including an original in Gowanus and an "outpost" cafe and grocer in Greenpoint. Owners Andy Curtin and Aaron Lefkove, along with chef Nick Williams, debut their third offering Wednesday on Grand Street, with opening meal services for breakfast and lunch with dinner to follow in two weeks.
The new clam shack aesthetic has been upgraded to a more refined dining experience here, though they'll still be offering the clam and lobster rolls that put them on the map back in 2011. Their equally notable raw bar will be expanded at the new spot, with additions including crab legs and razor clams.
Breakfast could mean gruyere biscuits with tarragon butter ($5) or a Lobster Scramble with creme fraiche, scallion and grilled bread ($24). New to the lunch menu are Grilled Mushrooms served with black garlic dashi and shaved turnip ($14) and Clam Toast with salsa verde, aioli and garlic chips ($11).
131 Grand Street, 717-218 6054; littleneckbrooklyn.com. Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with dinner hours to follow in a few weeks.
