California's exceptional McConnell's Fine Ice Creams lands at Maman locations for the summer. The shops will serve scoops of flavors including Chocolate Almond Brittle and Sea Salt Cream & Cookies, along with ice cream sandwiches made with Maman's cookie dough.
If it's your kind of scene, head to The VNYL in the East Village for some free rosé daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Order any snack or shared plate and you'll receive one free glass of Maison Saleya Rosé. Order any of the "Plates," like Chicken Kiev ($24), a Burger ($18), or Bone-In Veal Milanese ($36) and it's bottomless rosé, baby.
Monday evening, adjacent to his tapas eatery Amada at Brookfield Place, chef Jose Garces opens a new pop-up sandwich and wine bar for lunch and evening, respectively. By day, the Bocadillo Bar will serve Spanish sandwiches including a Pavo with herb roasted turkey, brie, roasted peppers, romesco aioli and avocado ($13) and a Serranito with braised pork, serrano ham, hardboiled egg, garlic aioli, shishito peppers ($13). By night, the space transforms into a Wine Bar, offering 40 wines by the glass alongside Spanish nibbles like cheese, charcuteria, tapas and Montados, mini sandwiches.

Tuesday evening, Prospect Heights mezcal bar Madre Mezcaleria and sister restaurant El Atoradero host a Madre Mezcal Dinner featuring Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal. The bar will be serving cocktails made with a variety of Del Maguey mezcals, in addition to neat pours so you can experience the variances in flavors. Chef Denisse Lina Chavez has created some special food for the event as well, including spicy braised beef short rib in a red chile salsa and a flan de mezcal made with Del Maguey's Crema de Mezcal. Reservations $45.
The Harlem EatUp! begins its third incarnation this week, offering special dinners, performances and big tasting events that close out the festival this weekend. There are still seats available to the collaborative dinners, including Yvette Leeper-Bueno/Chef Bill Telepan at Vinateria, Chef Kenichi Tajima/Chef Laurent Tourondel at Mountain Bird, and Chef Owner Anita Trehan/Daniel Holzman at Chaiwali.
