In a stunning move that required both restraint and lust for adventure, America has chosen the best of the worst possible flavors of Lay's potato chips. Wasabi Ginger beat out other nausea-inducing flavors including Cappuccino and the surprisingly repugnant Mango Salsa to win the brand's Do Us A Flavor campaign, which asked regular old citizens to design the next big flavor of potato chips. We applaud you, America, for not choosing something made with bacon.

As it happens, the designer of the actually tolerable Wasabi Ginger kettle chips hails from New Jersey. Meneko Spigner McBeth, a nurse from Temple University, will receive "$1 million or a portion of a year in sales, whichever figure is larger," for her creation, according to NJ.com. Enough to keep herself in Lay's for the rest of her life.
